Sexual assault reported early Sunday

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Police were contacted at approximately 3 a.m. Sunday on report of a sexual assault that happened in the area of Murray Blvd. and Chapman Drive.

A woman told police she was walking southbound on Murray Blvd. when she observed a white Jeep pass by her several times. A few minutes later she was approached by a man who pushed her into the field and assaulted her.

The victim stated the driver of the Jeep was the same man who approached her and assaulted her. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, medium build, 5 feet 7 inches, no facial hair.

The suspect vehicle is a white Jeep Cherokee with unknown Colorado license plate.
